Since Pat McAfee retired from football, Marquette King has become the most entertaining punter in the AFC. Known for his booming kicks, his ability to pin the opposition deep in their own territory and his signature cowboy-themed celebrations, King would just make the Pro Bowl more fun.

Though he is immensely popular across the league, the Pro Bowl has somehow avoided him during his time with the Raiders. A reason for this is that there are only two punters that get to go to the Pro Bowl each year. While King kicked well during the early part of the year, the Raiders weren’t exactly tremendous on special teams as the season wore on.

But this is a new year and the Raiders have a new special teams coordinator coming to town in Jon Gruden’s long-time buddy Rich Bisaccia. Bisaccia had spent the last few years with the Dallas Cowboys. Placekicker Dan Bailey became a star under Bisaccia’s watch. King is the most talented member of the Raiders special teams. Look for Bisaccia to maximize King’s skill set.

The other part that helps King on his quest to making a Pro Bowl is that he doesn’t play in the same NFC as Los Angeles Rams punter Johnny Hekker. That guy is ridiculous. Should the Raiders improve as a team and King keeps up the good work, there is a good chance he will garner his first Pro Bowl nod at age 30.
