The Virginia Tech defense was loaded last season, and two names really stood out. One was linebacker Tremaine Edmunds, who many Raider fans hope the team takes in the first round in April.

The other was defensive tackle Tim Settle, who has incredible physical gifts for a man his size. At 6-foot-3, 329 pounds, Settle would be a menace in the middle of the Raiders defense, and he is more than just a big body.

Settle is a physical kid, who will only be 21-years old when the season starts in September. In addition, he has the power to really cause havoc in the backfield, as he registered 12.5 tackles for a loss last season, while getting to the quarterback four times.

A second-team All-ACC selection, Settle only played two years of football for the Hokies, as he redshirted his freshman year, and then played in 2016 and 2017. Still, he showed enough during his time with Virginia Tech to make him an exciting prospect going into this draft, and he could be a guy the team selects in the second, or third round.

Oakland could bring back Justin Ellis, who they drafted in the coveted 2014 draft class, and they did spend a third-round pick on Eddie Vanderdoes last year. Still, Settle brings a completely different set of skills to the team, and he would be a great grab after round one.
