The wide receiver position in Oakland is basically two-deep right now, after the team signed Jordy Nelson this offseason. After signing Nelson, the team let go of Michael Crabtree, who had become a favorite target of Derek Carr during his time with the Silver and Black.

With one of their two fifth-round picks, the Raiders should look to address the lack of depth at the position. One player they could look to is DaeSean Hamilton, who became quite the playmaker for quarterback Trace McSorley during his time at Penn State.

At 6-foot 1, and 205 pounds, Hamilton is the perfect size to play the slot. The Raiders are bringing back Seth Roberts this season, but Hamilton would be an upgrade, and he played some of his best ball in Penn State’s biggest games, and Gruden loves players like that.

The tackle position for the Raiders is one of great need, as they look to go into the season with Breno Giacomini as the front-runner to start at right tackle. Starting left tackle Donald Penn is getting up there in age, and the Raiders could have a serious problem at the position if he goes down to injury like he did last season.

Quarterback Derek Carr is the most valuable asset this team has, and protecting him has got to be priority No. 1 for the Raiders. Bringing in a player like Jamarco Jones would give the team much needed depth at the tackle position, and he could start right away as a rookie next season.

Jones had to sit behind Taylor Decker for two years at Ohio State, but Decker is one heck of a player to learn from. He will likely be a right tackle at the next level, and getting him in the fifth round would be a great move by McKenzie and Gruden to bolster this offensive line.
