McKenzie started off the 2013 draft by trading their #3 overall pick to the Miami Dolphins for their 12th and 42nd overall picks. The fact that the Raiders only got a second-round pick to move down nine spots is laughable enough. However, McKenzie took it to the next level by drafting Hayden who had no business going that high.
He then wasted the second round pick he got from the Dolphins on Watson who never developed into a quality tackle.
Linebacker Sio Moore, much like Miles Burns the year before, got on the field due to lack of talent at the position but is now out of the league.
The sixth round is the only glimmer of light from this draft as McKenzie was able to find Murray out of UCF. He made one pro bowl with the Raiders back in 2015. However, it seemed like the coaching staff never fully bought into him. They chose not to re-sign him last offseason and went on the have a solid year with the Minnesota Vikings in 2017.
Rivera also made decent contributions at tight end but was never a big game changer despite his intriguing physical traits.
Like 2012, none of these players remain on the current roster.
