Day 2 of the NFL draft has concluded, and with that being said, lets once again recap each pick from the AFC West with overall team grades.

Oakland Raiders

P.J. Hall – Defensive Tackle, Sam Houston State

Brandon Parker – Offensive Tackle, North Carolina A&T

Arden Key – Defensive End, LSU

Upside and trades seem to be the theme of the Raiders draft so far. After taking Kolton Miller last night, they started the 2nd round by trading back and taking P.J. Hall. He dominated at the FCS level with strength and unreal athleticism which led to massive production.

But he will need to prove he can do it against the far better competition in the NFL.

Oakland traded again but to the top of the 3rd round to draft Brandon Parker, a relatively unknown player whose stock rose after the senior bowl. Along with Miller, Tom Cable now has two raw prospects he gets to develop.

To finish off day 2 the front office took what is probably their biggest risk yet with Arden Key. Multiple off the field issues, injuries and a disappointing 2017 season led to Key falling hard in the draft.

Before the college season started, he was a projected top-10 pick, so the flashes of talent are evident. Hopefully, the veteran talent in the locker room can keep him out of trouble. Bruce Irvin appears prepared to take on the mentor role

The Raiders are definitely in the boom or bust business this draft.
