Fighting to get in the rotation

Azeem Victor

This year’s sixth-round pick Azeem Victor is very intriguing. He had some real highs at Washington along with some real lows.

He probably would have left for the draft last year after earning All-Pac 12 honors, but a broken leg kept him at Washington for his senior year. This past season was a disaster for Victor as he had some off the field issues and failed to repeat his production from a year ago. Even losing his starting job at one point during the season.

So what player are the Raiders getting exactly?

Victor will likely start on special teams, and if he can stay the course, he definitely has the talent to be a contributor at linebacker.

Fighting to Stay on the Roster

Jason Cabinda, Kyle Wilber, Brady Sheldon, James Cowser

My feelings on these guys are all the same. At the moment their best chance of making the roster is finding a role on special teams. I don’t see them making too much if any impact at linebacker unless injuries are rampant.

The main person to look out for in the group is undrafted rookie Jason Cabinda. He was highly productive at Penn St and is top notch regarding effort and leadership. Though is lack of athleticism may be too hard to overcome.
