Will the Raiders sign Khalil Mack to a new deal?

All around Raider Nation, you can hear the calls for the Oakland Raiders to pony up the dough and pay defensive end Khalil Mack what he deserves. While the organization would be absolutely wrong if they let Mack walk after this season, the good money is placed on the fact they will get a deal done.

Now, if the question is whether a deal will be done this offseason, that remains to be seen. Mack has not been at any of the OTAs so far this spring, and with mandatory minicamp coming up next week, it will be interesting to see if he is there, or if the clock starts on him holding out.

Mack is a team player, and he loves playing in the Silver and Black. With Bruce Irvin moving to defensive end, and some talent brought in along the interior of the defensive line, he has to know that the 2018 season could be his best one yet.

The fifth-year pro is slated to make nearly $14 million this season, which is a huge chunk of change when you consider how low he has been paid for his production through his first four years. The Raiders cannot afford to misplay their hand with Mack, because any team in the NFL would throw a truckload of money at him to get his services.

Keep an eye on this as we head into next week, and if Mack does not show for the mandatory stuff, then the Raiders have a huge problem on their hands.
