Amari Cooper bounces back in 2018?

We kick off our training camp preview with the letter A, which we will use to talk about Amari Cooper. Since coming into the league, Cooper has been the top wide receiver on the Raiders depth chart, but he took a major step back in production last season.

Like the rest of the offense, the numbers were down, as the team was actually led in receiving yards by tight end Jared Cook. Cooper also had issues with the drops, which has been something that has plagued him in his career through the first three seasons.

When he is right, Cooper has the skill set to be one of the best in the league, as evident by his 11-catch, 210 yard effort against the Kansas City Chiefs last season. In that game, Cooper also found the end zone twice, but if you take away that performance, his statistics for the year become even more scary.

The Raiders added talent around him this offseason, as he will be joined by Martavis Bryant and Jordy Nelson atop the depth chart at wide receiver. Raider Nation is hoping Cooper can get back to being a 1,000-yard receiver in 2018, and with a new contract on the horizon, this is a huge season for Coop.
