The Oakland Raiders have a huge training camp ahead of them in a couple of weeks, so let us take this time to recap their offseason so far.
It has been quite a ride for the Oakland Raiders over the last couple of months, as the team switches from Jack Del Rio to Jon Gruden at the head coaching position. Each man has a completely different style of coaching, and while Del Rio did a nice job bringing the organization back to their winning ways, Gruden should be able to take them over the top.
The reason for the change from Del Rio was pretty simple, as the team went from winning 12 games in 2016, to only six games in 2017. The team underachieved in nearly every area, and it was clear that the coordinators that were put in place just were not the right fit for the organization anymore.
This offseason has seen the Raiders revamp their roster, as they tried to fill the holes from last season with very little cap space. There are still a ton of question marks heading into training camp, but their is a nice mix of veterans, and younger players, and the competition should be intense.
In this piece, we recap the big stories from the Raiders 2018 offseason, as we get ready for training camp, which kicks off with the quarterbacks, rookies, and first-year players arriving on July 23 in Napa.
