The Oakland Raiders struggled mightily on defense last season, but with new personnel in 2018, what kind of questions surround the D entering camp?

With training camp set to open in a few weeks, the Oakland Raiders have a lot of questions that will need to be answered this summer. New head coach Jon Gruden brought in a bunch of new talent this offseason, and with veterans underachieving last season, there are plenty of starting spots open.

In addition to free agents, the Raiders also brought in some quality players via the NFL Draft, including some that can really help them on the defensive side of the ball this season. Guys like P.J. Hall, Maurice Hurst, Nick Nelson, and Arden Key should battle for starting jobs during training camp, and they have the talent to push the veterans in front of them.

Some names are cemented in the starting lineup, like Khalil Mack, Bruce Irvin, Justin Ellis, and Gareon Conley. Others will have to fight their way to stay with the ones, which should make the 2018 Raiders training camp a very entertaining one.

With that said, let us take a look at five burning questions that surround the Raiders defense heading into training camp.
