Who are the 4th and 5th wideouts?

Last season, the tandem of Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree really struggled atop the Raiders depth chart at the wide receiver position. In fact, it was tight end Jared Cook who led the team in receiving yards, and the offense never really got moving with offensive coordinator Todd Downing calling the shots.

This offseason, the Raiders released Crabtree, and decided to bring in former Green Bay Packers wideout Jordy Nelson. In addition, during the 2018 NFL Draft, they traded for Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Martavis Bryant, giving the team two solid options behind Amari Cooper on the wide receiver depth chart.

From there, the depth chart gets dicey, as the fourth and fifth receiver spots will be up for grabs this summer. The Raiders paid Seth Roberts a bunch of money this offseason, but with his history of being an inconsistent player, he does not have a concrete spot on this roster.

Like Bryant, Oakland traded for Ryan Switzer this offseason, and he will get a lot of run this summer. In the seventh round of the 2018 NFL Draft, the team selected Marcell Ateman, who has an incredible set of skills, and could be a serious red zone threat. The wide receivers will be on full display all summer, and it will be interesting to see who is behind Cooper, Nelson, and Bryant when the season kicks off on September 10.
