Daryl Worley, Cornerback

The Raiders went out and got Daryl Worley as a free agent this offseason, after he was released by the Philadelphia Eagles. Worley was released by the Super Bowl LII champions after an altercatuon after the team traded Torrey Smith to the Carolina Panthers for him.

Worley has come in and done a nice job so far in camp, and is getting the opportunity to show he should be a starter on this team in 2018.

With Gareon Conley on the shelf, it has been Worley who is getting the first team reps alongside Rashaan Melvin, which is really telling at this point. There is no doubt he is a guy whose stock is on the rise, and his head coach backed up that assessment on Monday.

If, and when, Conley comes back, he is going to be given the chance to start. However, in Worley,  they have a guy who could be in the front seat in terms of the nickel corner position, as this defense continues to grow under first-year defensive coordinator Paul Guenther.
