Carr and his new weapons

Last season, tight end Jared Cook led the Raiders in receiving yards, though that is not going to happen again in 2018. The team went out and got some solid weapons for Derek Carr this offseason, and it will be interesting to see this first-team offense with his new weapons in place on Friday night.

While Amari Cooper will once again lead the wide receiver group, the team has much better depth behind him this season. Oakland brought in Jordy Nelson from Green Bay as a free agent, and he looks ten years younger, showing incredible speed and skill this summer.

Behind Nelson is Martavis Bryant, whom the Raiders traded for during the 2018 NFL Draft. He has had a tough time getting used to the playbook through the first week and a half of camp, but there is no denying his talent, and he should be a big-play guy for Oakland this season.

Aside from those three, Ryan Switzer is making a name for himself during training camp, and will be a great slot receiver in 2018. At tight end, Cook and Derek Carrier looked tough in joint practices with the Lions, and should pick on their defense again inside the Oakland Coliseum.
