Detroit Lions at Oakland Raiders: 5 things to watch for
By Brad Weiss
Kolton Miller
The Raiders selected Kolton Miller in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft, and he has gotten off to a solid start with his new team. With Donald Penn on the PUP list, Miller has gotten the first crack at left tackle, and he has not disappointed.
In fact, with Miller doing so well, it seems the Raiders feel they have the leverage to ask Penn to take a pay cut, so stay tuned on that one. On Friday, we will get to see Miller protect Carr’s blinside for the first time in his young career, though it could be something we see for years to come.
Whether it is on the left, or the right side this season, Miller is establishing himself as a starter this summer. The weight he put on has helped him in his first training camp in the NFL, and he has the look of someone who can start along this offensive line for the next ten years.
