Cornerback (6): Gareon Conley, Rashaan Melvin, Leon Hall, Nick Nelson, Daryl Worley, Antonio Hamilton

There was a welcome sight at Raiders practice on Monday, as Gareon Conley practiced for the first time since the first practice of training camp. He looked good too, and if he can get himself ready to go this week, we should see him against the Rams on Saturday afternoon.

If healthy, Conley will be out there in Week 1 as a starter, and will be joined by Rashaan Melvin. Outside of those two, the third starting spot is up for grabs, and we saw some good things from a bunch of cornerbacks against the Lions.

When was the last time you could say you saw good things from multiple cornerbacks?

Rookie Nick Nelson looked absolutely dominant, and is guaranteed a spot on the 53. Daryl Worley and Leon Hall will both make the team out of camp, and both ran with the ones during the first preseason game. In addition, Antonio Hamilton had one of the highest grades on the defense according to Pro Football Focus.

Those should be the six cornerbacks who make the team, or at least that is how it seems this early in training camp. This position group may actually be a strength of the team in 2018, which would be the case for the first time in a very long time.
