Carr masters Gruden’s offense

One of the bigger narratives when Gruden was given the job was whether or not star quarterback Derek Carr and him would mesh. Well, not only have the two meshed, but they have been inseparable, and they seem like the perfect match.

Carr has been through a bunch of coaches during his first four seasons in the NFL, but with Gruden signing a ten-year deal, there should finally be some stability. Gruden is a genius when it comes to working with quarterbacks, as shown by the fact he turned journeyman Rich Gannon into an NFL MVP during his first stint in Oakland.

Gruden has been very impressed with Carr, and even recently said that he has a better grip on the offense than he does. That is really saying something, and with the best weapons Carr has had in his career, this offense should be quite dominant in year five of Carr’s career.
