Conley sits out most of camp injured

The Raiders made Gareon Conley their first round pick in 2017, and the expectation was he would become their CB1 for the next five years. However, he missed most of his rookie season due to a shin injury, making this summer an important one for the Ohio State product.

Conley started the offseason strong, looking really good through OTAs and minicamp. After practicing on the first day of training camp, Conley would head back to the shelf, this time dealing with a hip strain.

The second-year cornerback finally returned to practice the last week of camp, and appears ready to go tonight against the Los Angeles Rams. If healthy, he is going to be a starting cornerback alongside Rashaan Melvin, and the hope is he can finally turn the corner when it comes to his health.
