Warren III makes his move up the depth chart

The son of former Seattle Seahawks running back Chris Warren Jr., Chris Warren III was signed by the Raiders as an undrafted free agent back in May. Since then, he has really turned heads within the organization, and has a legitimate shot at making the 53-man roster now.

Warren made his presence felt during the joint practices with the Detroit Lions, trucking Lions’ 2017 first-round pick Jarrad Davis. He followed that up by rushing for nearly 90 yards against the Lions in preseason game No. 1, leading the Raiders in rushing, and capitalizing on the opportunities he has been given.

With another solid effort tonight, Warren could conceivably move all the way up to the No. 3, or even No. 2 back on this depth chart. He has shown he should have been drafted, but this route could end up working out for him, as he has the speed and power to play at this level.
