Cornerback (6): Gareon Conley, Rashaan Melvin, Daryl Worley, Nick Nelson, Antonio Hamilton, Leon Hall

The cornerback group got a major lift this past week when Gareon Conley returned to practice, and was able to play in his first preseason game of the summer. Conley was not picked on a lot during the Rams game, but when they did throw his way, the Rams had no luck, failing to complete one pass.

In game one of the preseason, rookie Nick Nelson really stepped up, and showed the kind of coverage skills he was known for at Wisconsin. Rashaan Melvin is going to be the starter next to Conley this season, and guys like Daryl Worley and Antonio Hamilton should have no problem making the Week 1 roster.

Leon Hall rounds out our list of cornerbacks, but he is a guy who is going to have to really fight to keep his spot. The cornerbacks have been better than advertised so far this preseason, and for the first time in a while, they look like a collection of players who are being coached right, and will minimize the big plays this season.
