Chris Warren III

As previously mentioned, the man who has made the biggest name for himself this summer has been former University of Texas running back, Chris Warren III.

Warren, a big bruiser of a back is a load to bring down.  Weighing in around 250 pounds, when he gets his pads low, can punish defenders.  The “truck stick” heard around the league went viral when the Raiders and Detroit Lions got together for joint practices.

Here is the clip of Warren lowering the boom on Lions middle linebacker, Jarrad Davis.

In extensive work during the first two preseason games Warren has 196 yards on 31 carries.  In addition to his power, Warren has displayed his speed to get to the edge and run past defenders.

Here is a look at his touchdown from last week’s game.

Marshawn Lynch, Doug Martin, and Keith Smart (Fullback) are locks to make the roster.  That leaves most likely three guys to fight for two spots.  Jalen Richard, DeAndre Washington, and Chris Warren will continue to battle it out in the final two weeks.
