The Oakland Raiders will host the Green Bay Packers tonight in preseason game No. 3. Here are three players to keep an eye on.

Week three of the preseason is here as the Oakland Raiders will square off against the Green Bay Packers. Unlike last week against the Los Angeles Rams the starters will actually play. According to Jon Gruden, they’ll even go into the second quarter. Anything further than that is unlikely. Gruden doesn’t want to overwork his guys too much so they’ll remain fresh throughout the season, which is completely understandable, especially since the Raiders play the Rams in three weeks.

That’s the very same motto that Packers head coach Mike McCarthy will follow for today’s game. NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo has reported that the Packers will rest most of their offensive starters. The defensive starters for the Raiders will have to make due with the Packers backups. That makes watching the backups of the Raiders on defense priority.

I know it’s a bit disappointing that we didn’t get to see the starters last week and will be robbed some for today’s game as well. We just want to see the stars perform and produce. However, there are still some players who aren’t stars that we should keep an eye on for this game.

Preseason isn’t meant for the starters, it’s meant for the rookies and backups who are fighting for a spot on the team.
