Safety (4): Karl Joseph, Reggie Nelson Marcus Gilchrist, Erik Harris

Oakland’s secondary should be much better in 2018, as they have looked like a very capable unit during the preseason. As far as how many safeties they keep heading into Week 1, it looks like the number will be four, as Karl Joseph, Reggie Nelson, Marcus Gilchrist, and Erik Harris should all make the team.

The tandem of Joseph and Nelson started all 16 games last season, and the Raiders secondary was one of the worst in football. Gilchrist could find himself starting at some point, as could Harris, who has been one of the biggest standouts on the roster this summer.
