Oakland Raiders: 4 players who must be better in Week 2
By Brad Weiss
Arden Key
One of the more exciting rookies on this Raiders roster is Arden Key, who was one of the best edge rushers in college football during his time at LSU. With Khalil Mack traded to Chicago, the opportunity is right there for Key to be a big-time contributor in 2018, but he got off to a bit of a slow start in his debut on Monday night.
Key did lead the Raiders in pressure, but he had only two, which just is not going to cut it against Keenum and the Broncos this weekend. He is still learning the game, and there is a major curve when it comes to jumping to the NFL level, so do not be surprised if he gets his first NFL sack against Denver, as he has the talent to do so.
Oakland added Johnathan Hankins on Wednesday, and his presence inside should help the Raiders get more of a pass rush on the edge on Sunday. Key is going to be crucial on this defense this season, even in year one, so the hope is he can get more than just two pressure against the Broncos in Week 2.
