AmariCooper
In Week 2, it looked like Amari Cooper had bounced back from a terrible season opener against the Los Angeles Rams, that saw him haul in only one pass from quarterback Derek Carr. Against the Broncos in Week 2, Cooper was the favorite target of Carr, catching ten passes, while racking up 116 yards receiving in the loss.
However, this past weekend was more the Cooper we saw in Week 1 than Week 2, as he caught only two passes. Sure, Jordy Nelson went off for the Raiders, as did Jared Cook in Week 1, but if this team is going to be any kind of consistent on the offensive side of the ball for four quarters, they need Cooper to at least have five catches a game.
Setting the bar at only five catches is low, but what can we really expect from Cooper after the first three games. When he is involved in the passing game, the offense hums, but he is almost non-existent at times. If the Raiders offense is going to have success in Week 4, he needs to be a part of it.
