Jalen Richard

The Raiders got a terrific effort from Marshawn Lynch in the run game on Sunday, as he rushed for 130 yards on only 20 carries. However, the rest of the running back group didn’t do much of anything, and that includes guys like Jalen Richard and Doug Martin.

Martin has not done much of anything all season long, and is likely only going to be used sparingly by Gruden and the coaching staff moving forward. Richard is a guy that figures to play a big role in this offense, running and catching the ball, and he has to be better than he showed last weekend against the Browns.

Lynch is 32-years old, and while he has shown no signs of slowing down this season, the Raiders need Richard to step up if he is going to be productive through an entire 16-game season. The Raiders have been trying to get Richard open in space, and against the Chargers defense, they are going to need all hands on deck, especially in the passing game.
