The Oakland Raiders had a chance to turn their season around on Sunday, but were beaten pretty soundly by the Los Angeles Chargers on the road.

Coming off an overtime victory against the Cleveland Browns, the Oakland Raiders played a home road game against division rival Los Angeles on Sunday, and the outcome was not what Raider Nation was looking for. The Raiders were dominated throughout, and by the time the game ended, they had suffered their worst loss of the 2018 season.

Not only did the offense struggle to do anything, as they did not find the end zone until the fourth quarter when the game was out of reach, but the defense had little resistance for Philip Rivers and the Chargers offense. Rivers threw for over 330 yards in the contest, seemingly completing every pass he threw, as they moved their record to 3-2 on the season.

For Oakland, they had their opportunities early in the game, as the score was tied at 3 with a little over four minutes left in the first half. However, the Chargers scored two touchdowns in the blink of an eye, and before you knew it, they held a lead at halftime that the Raiders could not overcome.

Oakland did have a chance to get into the game in the second half, as they trailed 20-3, but had the ball at the Chargers one-yard line. However, the team decided to pass, and when Derek Carr was intercepted by Melvin Ingram in the end zone, the game was pretty much over.

With the loss, Oakland falls to 1-4, and is in sole possession of last place in the AFC West.
