Stability at quarterback

Derek Carr has faced plenty of criticism through five games into the regular season, and some of hit has been warranted. Carr leads the league in interceptions thrown on the season with eight to his name, and with just seven touchdowns on the year that ratio makes it tough for Oakland to come away with victories.

However, Carr has managed to have some stellar games this season that have been overshadowed by untimely turnovers. Last week against the Los Angeles Chargers Carr went 24-33, averaged eight yards per throw, and ended the day with a 94 QBR. Yet the headlines surrounded his goal-line interception (even though Oakland was already trailing 20-6).

Carr simply must not over think his decision-making, there are a good number of interceptions that could be taken back had he made the right choice rather than trying to do too much. After hearing the critics all week-long, look for him to again have a solid completion percentage and for his TD: INT ratio to be much more satisfactory.
