The injury bug is real

Fans hate to see when their team is hit with the injury bug. In many instances the wave of injuries comes at the most inopportune time and the same can be said for the Oakland Raiders. Not only is this team in a state of disarray, slowly losing the will to compete with their opponents, but their players left and right are succumbing to injuries along the way.

Already missing Kelechi Osemele and Donald Penn on the offensive line, Oakland saw Amari Cooper, Jon Feliciano, and Bruce Irvin either leave or become hobbled with injuries. Derek Carr should be fine going forward, but he took a beating all game long and was seen clutching his left arm in the fourth quarter.

Injuries are a part of the game and a team can never be “truly” healthy as the season progresses along, there will always be players battling pains here and there. But it’s a sad truth to realize that the Oakland Raiders are facing an injury bug to their most key players, and when its hitting the team right at their lowest point, it’s a tough pill to swallow.
