During the trade with the Chicago Bears, the Raiders received two first round picks back, one in 2019, and one in 2020. With how well the Bears are playing this season, the second of two first round picks is going to be later in round one, but they may be able to fill another huge need with the selection.
One area that has been a major deficiency for the Raiders this season has been at safety, where they have had to trot out guys like Reggie Nelson and Marcus Gilchrist. Former 2016 first rounder Karl Joseph has pretty much played his way out of town, so the Raiders better capitalize on having two first rounders next season by drafting a safety.
When it comes to the safeties coming out next year, Deionte Thompson is one of the best, and should be available later in round one. He has tremendous coverage skills, and great hands for a defensive back, and would give the Raiders a much better solution at the position than anybody they currently have in that spot this season.
