Cooper was not worth a first round pick

For as good as Cooper was during his first two seasons in the NFL, he has not been the same player since the 2016 campaign. In fact, there were times this season where he was almost invisible on the field, and that may have been his fault, or the fault of the coaching staff.

With Cooper, the Raiders seemed to have gotten top value for him, as he has been a mediocre wide receiver over his last 20 games in a Raiders uniform. Once a given to get to the 1,000-yard mark, Cooper did not even get to 700 yards last season, and has a measly 280 yards through six games this season.

Cooper is only 24-years old, and is already a proven player at the NFL level. Unfortunately, his talent has not shown over the last couple seasons, and based on his productivity, the Raiders would have been lucky to get a second round pick for him. The fact that the Cowboys gave the Raiders a first round pick, which is currently pick No. 9 overall, is gravy.
