Oakland Raiders: 5 players who must be better in Week 8
By Brad Weiss
The Oakland Raiders take on the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, and these five players must be better if the team is going to come away victorious.
It has been a long season for the Oakland Raiders, and we are not even halfway through the 2018 schedule. After starting the year with solid efforts in the first three weeks, the Raiders have looked awful as of late, and appear to be in full fire sale mode as we inch closer to the trade deadline.
With the way the pieces have been moving on this roster, you never know who is going to be suiting up for this team from week to week. This past week, during the bye, the Raiders got rid of 24-year old wide receiver Amari Cooper, sending him to the Dallas Cowboys for a first round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
While many have already shifted their attention to the draft, there is still a lot of football left to play, and guys better step up if they want to be apart of the future of the organization. They still have a solid quarterback in Derek Carr, and some solid veterans on both sides of the ball, as well as some fantastic rookies.
The Indianapolis Colts come to town this weekend, and that means this banged up secondary will have to face Andrew Luck. The Raiders are in real danger of falling to 1-6 on the year, but also have some opponents coming up with similar records to theirs, so they may be able to get some wins in the next couple of weeks.
Here are five guys who must be better in Week 8 if the team is going to have a shot at winning.
