The Oakland Raiders have three first round picks in the 2019 NFL Draft, and they certainly could use all three on the defensive side of the ball.

The Oakland Raiders will head into the 2019 NFL Draft with a ton of draft capital, as they traded away both Amari Cooper and Khalil Mack for first round selections. Taking into consideration that their own first round pick is likely to be an early one in the first round, and the Raiders have a very good opportunity to seriously improve this roster moving forward.

Sitting at 1-5, the Raiders are one of the worst teams in football this season, and they seem to be in full rebuild mode. It is not often that a team trades away a 24-year old wide receiver with two 1,000-yard seasons under their belt, but Cooper was expecting a new contract, and the Raiders likely would be unwilling to pay a guy who has not performed since 2016.

Having three first round picks is very rare, and the hope is that Jon Gruden and company have a plan in place with how they are going to attack the draft. There are still some days left until the trade deadline, so more guys could be on the move, including some of the bigger names on this season’s roster.

With the Raiders having three picks in the first round next April, so let us take a look at 15 defensive prospects that could improve that side of the ball as early as year one.
