Bruce Irvin

Bruce Irvin’s stock may have been affected as much by his impact on the field as off it, given it was reported that he himself is also on the trade block ahead of Tuesday’s deadline. Suffice to say Irvin has not played well enough to the role assigned to him as the leader of this defensive line and pass rush.

While we await official snap counts it was noted that Irvin was not present for much of the game on Sunday, and despite a hurry on Luck he didn’t have much of an impact on Sunday’s game and in the larger sense, this season.

His three sacks through seven games have been lackluster he’s been outplayed by the younger rookies present on the defensive line. His name being circulated in trade rumors shouldn’t surprise anyone, and I’m sure not many would be opposed to such a thing becoming a reality.
