Run defense

Similar to singling out one player on the offensive line, the same can be said on the defensive side of the ball for the Oakland Raiders. En route to their 42 point day, the Colts managed to find all kinds of success on the ground, racking up 222 yards on the Raiders defense.

Marlon Mack personally accounted for 132 of the rushing yards and added two rushing touchdowns, averaging 5.3 yards per carry. Nyheim Hines chimed in with a cool 78 yards rushing and averaged 7.1 yards per carry on Sunday.

While the secondary did their job of containing T.Y. Hilton to just one reception on five targets, they couldn’t get off the field or contain the Colts offense when they continued to find success running through Oakland. It’s a troubling trend that has continued all season, and with no end in sight it only places more pressure on the shoulders of the Raiders offense.
