When it comes to the Raiders offense, the interior of the line is actually one of the best in the game. In recent weeks, however, the group has had to go without Kelechi Osemele, who had been dealing with a knee injury before returning for the Thursday night matchup against San Francisco. Sure, Jon Feliciano is a nice reserve, but this interior line needs some more young bodies.
Calvin Throckmorton from Oregon is one of the better guards in the Pac-12, and someone who could come in and provide depth right away at the next level. He is a big body, standing at 6-foot-6, and is also incredible smart, as he is a human physiology major at Oregon.
Last April, the Raiders drafted Kolton Miller and Brandon Parker, and those two should be the bookends at the offensive tackle positions for years to come. Osemele is going to be 30-years old next season, and the Raiders do not have a lot of depth behind him. For a sixth-round pick, Throckmorton would be a nice addition this late.
