Wide Receiver struggles

The injury bug has been a consistent them for the 2018 Raiders, with the offensive line and running back positions being affected. Now the latest group to hit the injury bug has been the receiving unit. Martavis Bryant is out for Sunday’s game in Arizona, with Jordy Nelson also looking likely out as well.

With the two veterans out it leaves the opportunity for new faces to get valuable playing time, Marcell Ateman being on the of them. After spending much of the season on the practice squad, he has a golden opportunity ahead of him, although he’ll face a challenge playing on the road, with Patrick Peterson playing in the secondary no less.

After scoring just three field goals in the past two games, it’s entirely possible for Oakland to finally have their bounce back game in Arizona, with the passing game playing a vital role. However we should keep our expectations realistic, based on what we’ve seen this season it’s a possibility that the receiving corps might struggle on Sunday.
