Carr will be more aggressive

After last week’s outcome the only play of the game that was dissected was Derek Carr throwing the ball into the ground on a fourth down screen pass to Jalen Richard. Why did Carr just throw it away? Did he give up? Why didn’t he try to keep the play alive and throw it elsewhere, literally anywhere?

The play (and ensuing criticism) emulates how this season is going for the Raiders, but look for Carr to be more aggressive this Sunday. When he throws the ball downfield he does it particularly well, the issue is that he just doesn’t throw the ball downfield that often.

As has been the case all season, the test will be for Carr to find that balance between playing conservative and aggressive. After the criticism from last week and putting up just nine points in the past two games, look for him to be aggressive and throwing the ball downfield.
