Carr passes Gannon

Last weekend, the Raiders saw Derek Carr pass Rich Gannon in touchdown passes as a Raider, as he currently sits third overall with 115 TD tosses wearing the Silver and Black. Heading into Sunday, Carr now sits only behind Ken Stabler and Daryle Lamonica in touchdown passes in franchise history, which is quite an accomplishment mid-way through his fifth season as the team’s starter.

This weekend, Carr has the opportunity to pass Gannon once more, this time in passing yards. Carr sits only 263 yards behind Gannon in this statistical category, and if the Raiders are playing from behind on Sunday, you can expect the Raiders to turn to the passing game a lot more.

Jordy Nelson and Martavis Bryant are likely out for the Raiders on Sunday, so if Carr is going to pass Gannon, he is going to have to count on some unproven players to do so. He has already had a prolific career in Oakland, and before all is said and done, should own every significant passing record in team history.
