Secondary intercepts Lamar Jackson

The Raiders will not be facing Joe Flacco this weekend, as the long-time starter for the Baltimore Ravens is still dealing with a hip injury. Instead, they will be taking on rookie Lamar Jackson, whom the team took with the No. 32 overall pick in last April’s NFL Draft.

Jackson had a record-setting first NFL start last weekend against Cincinnati, as he set the franchise single-game record for rushing yards by a quarterback. However, he was intercepted by Bengals safety Shawn Williams in his debut as Baltimore’s starter, and may make a mistake in the passing game in this one as well.

Oakland finally got some turnovers last weekend, as the defense was able pick off Cardinals rookie quarterback Josh Rosen twice. Rosen was seen as a much better passer heading into the 2018 NFL Draft, and if Jackson does decide to test the Raiders secondary on Sunday, they could have a couple of opportunities to impact the game in a positive way.
