With their win against the Arizona Cardinals two weeks ago, the Raiders won their second game, and saw their grip on the first overall selection fade away. While the Raiders could have had Nick Bosa with that first pick, who is widely regarded as the  best player in the draft, and fills an immediate need at edge rusher, they could get a fantastic pass rusher at No. 3 as well.

Clelin Ferrell would have been a top-10 pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, but joined the rest of his elite defensive linemen teammates at Clemson for another run at a national title. The move back to college looks like the right one for Ferrell and the Tigers, as they are in line for another spot in the College Football Playoff.

With Oakland, Ferrell would fill the hole left by trading away Khalil Mack, and while we are not saying he could make the same kind of impact, he does improve the position group. 2018 third rounder Arden Key is getting great experience this season, and if the Raiders add Ferrell, they could have a very good, very young pass rush tandem at the edge positions for the foreseeable future.
