Wide Receivers/Tight Ends

The holes in the receiving corps for the Raiders were apparent in Sunday’s loss. As has been the case all season, Jared Cook proved to be Carr’s only reliable target in the passing game, snagging two catches on five targets for just 32 yards, adding in a highlight acrobatic touchdown catch as well.

Besides Cook the receivers struggled mightily in Baltimore. A notable play to remember came when Carr escaped a collapsing pocket and managed to loft a well-timed throw above Marcell Ateman, but Ateman simply lacked the speed to make what would have been a big time catch for the game.

The box score shows Carr completing less than 50 percent of his passes on Sunday, but many of those were the result of dropped catches or with the case of Ateman, the inability to finish the play by the receiver.

Grade: D-
