Offensive Line

The storyline for the weeks left probably will be whether or not Derek Carr survives to see the end of the 2018 season. The offensive line has been hit with recurring injuries and the end result has been the inability to create protection for number four.

The offensive line surrendered three sacks on Sunday alongside quite a few hits taken by Derek Carr that proved to hobble him by the end of the afternoon. Carr was quickly evaluated for a concussion after hitting his head on the grass, and later suffered an ankle injury but continued to play till the final whistle (thought that ankle was taped pretty heavily).

The offensive line will face an eager Kansas City Chiefs defense in Week 13 to come away with a dominating victory. For the sake of Derek Carr’s long-term safety and health, the line desperately needs to improve and play better and in the larger picture, hopefully get somewhat healthier.
