The Oakland Raiders are massive underdogs against their AFC West rival Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. With both teams heading in opposite directions, here’s five expectations for the game.

In perhaps one of if not the biggest mismatch of the NFL season, the Oakland Raiders go head-to-head with their most historic rival in the Kansas City Chiefs. It might be a decades-long competition amongst the two franchises and their fan bases, but it surely won’t be a competition on the field Sunday (at least we presume).

These two teams are headed in completely different directions. The Chiefs look to finally have found their missing quarterback piece in Patrick Mahomes and look to be a lock as the favorite in the AFC. The Raiders meanwhile have their eyes set on April’s draft as opposed to these last few weeks, right in the middle of another franchise rebuild.

Despite their hot start the Chiefs are just one game ahead of the Patriots and their division rival Chargers no less, so they’ll be determined to rack up a victory over Oakland. Fans would love to see the Silver and Black upset their superior rival, but that will ultimately affect the future of the franchise, aka their draft positioning come April.
