Raiders give Chiefs all they can handle on Sunday

Looking Ahead

With the Raiders loss, and the Arizona Cardinals win, Oakland now hold the No. 2 overall selection in next April’s 2019 NFL Draft. The Raiders came into Week 13 holding the third pick, so they are ever so closer to securing the first overall pick in 2019.

Oakland looked better on both sides of the ball in this one, taking one of the better teams in the AFC down to the wire. Kansas City has a lot of question marks, but their quarterback is not one of them, as Patrick Mahomes already has 41 touchdowns on the season, his first as a starter, and clearly has 50 TDs in his sights.

The Raiders will host another Super Bowl contender in the AFC next weekend, as they welcome the Pittsburgh Steelers to the Oakland Coliseum. Kansas City heads home to take on the Baltimore Ravens, in a matchup of two teams in the AFC teams that could reconnect in the playoffs in January.
