Jordan’s Selections

Round 1, Pick No. 3- Clelin Ferrell, Clemson

I don’t know if you’ve heard, but the Raiders haven’t been able to rush the passer this season. Luckily for them, this class is deep with capable pass rushers and Clelin Ferrell is among the best. With Nick Bosa probably being off the board, Ferrell is a very worthwhile consolation prize. He has had great production for three straight years at Clemson and has the athleticism you want in a premier edge rusher. He can come in on day one and produce which is precisely what the Raiders need

Round 1, Pick No. 23- Mack Wilson, Alabama

The Raiders have neglected the linebacker position for years choosing to play low draft picks or average free agents. Because of that, they have been stuck with arguably the worst linebacker unit in all of football this season. Mack Wilson is the type of player I think can change that; he is fast, smart and very good in coverage. And just as important, he would give Oakland a much-needed leader in the middle of the defense.

Round 1, Pick No. 26- Amani Oruwariye, Penn State

Gareon Conley is starting to show why he was a first-round pick and the Raiders could set up a great duo with him and Amani Oruwariye. A different corner from Conley, Oruwariye is more physical and likes to beat guys up at the line, but does sacrifice technique to do so. He also has excellent ball skills which are something the Raiders desperately need.
