Brad’s Picks
Round 1, Pick No. 3- Clelin Ferrell, Clemson
The Raiders have litterally no pass rush this season, and Clelin Ferrell is one of the best edge rushers in college football. He and the rest of the elite defensive line at Clemson is the reason they are headed to their third consecutive College Football Playoff, and with the Raiders, he would team with Arden Key to give the Raiders a solid, young tandem at the defensive end position for years to come.
Round 1, Pick No. 23- DeAndre Baker, Georgia
When it comes to the cornerback position in Oakland, the Silver and Black may have finally found a long-term solution at one of the spots when it comes to 2017 first round pick Gareon Conley. Next April, they need to dip into the cornerback position group in the first round to draft another corner, and Georgia’s DeAndre Baker is a guy the Raiders could end up getting towards the end of the first round.
Round 1, Pick No. 26- Mack Wilson, Alabama
Mack Wilson is one of the best middle linebackers in college football, and the Raiders have certainly failed to put an elite player at that spot during the last 15 years or so. In Wilson, they would have a guy they could plug into the middle of Paul Guenther’s 4-3 defense for years, and if this happens, they would have used their first three selections on bolstering the defensive side of the ball.
