Landon Collins

The Raiders lack attitude and toughness on the defensive side of the ball, safety Landon Collins lacks in neither. After a rough rookie season, Collins is in the midst of three straight productive seasons.

Showing the ability to come up and make plays at the line of scrimmage while also being able to hold his own in coverage, Collins is the total package at the safety position. The New York Giants do not figure to be a playoff team anytime soon, especially with the issues they have at quarterback, and they have already shown they are willing to get rid of some of the cornerstones of their defense.

Karl Joseph’s future with the team is still up in the air to me, so if they do move on Collins is a great option to replace him from a free agency standpoint. If Joseph continues to play the way he has in recent weeks, they may not need to make this kind of signing, but we need more at this point before that is set in stone.
