Solid rookie class

The 2018 NFL Draft class has been stellar for the Raiders this season, as guys like Kolton Miller and Maurice Hurst have really put their stamp on the 2018 campaign. On Sunday, a bunch of other rookies got in the mix, including Marcell Ateman, who was the team’s final selection this past April.

Ateman not only scored his first touchdown, but he proved that he is going to be a part of the solution moving forward, showing incredible toughness against the Chiefs. Edge rusher Arden Key played well against the pass, and actually showed up on special teams, blocking an extra point by Harrison Butker.

It seems like the Raiders definitely hit on some building block players this past April, and it will be exciting to see them perform for the final four games of the season. Even Nick Nelson will be getting extended time, and he is a player who will be expected to play a big role on this roster moving forward.
