Turnovers killed Oakland

You cannot go up against one of the best teams in football, and possibly the best offense, and give them the ball back time and time again. That is exactly what the Oakland Raiders did on Sunday, as they coughed up three fumbles, giving Patrick Mahomes and this Chiefs offense way too many shots.

Had the Raiders held onto the ball better in the run game, this matchup would have looked completely different, and you have to think Jon Gruden and his staff emphasized that at practice this week. The Silver and Black go up against another formidable AFC opponent this weekend in the Pittsburgh Steelers, so you can be sure protecting the ball will be priority No. 1.

Quarterback Derek Carr has not thrown an interception in seven games, so the team is doing a great job in that respect. Jalen Richard had an excellent game this past Sunday, racking up 126 all-purpose yards, but he cannot afford to give up the ball the way he did against the Chiefs moving forward.
