Carr is just fine

For all the noise that has been surrounding Derek Carr this season, he stepped up in a big way on Sunday, playing his best game of the season. Whether the pocket was clean, or not, Carr was a force under center for the Raiders, and is putting together one of his best statistical seasons of his career.

Sure, the Raiders are not winning games, but  you cannot fault Carr for the team’s issues in 2018. He has played behind two rookie offensive tackles, has no true No. 1 wide receiver, and his running back group has been decimated with the injury to Marshawn Lycnh.

Still, he has continued to put up numbers, completing nearly 70 percent of his passes, and looking like the right guy to lead this team next season, and beyond. Remember, you never want to hit the reset button the quarterback position too soon, and in Carr, they have a guy who can flat out get the job done at the NFL level.
